style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>Occasionally I come across the inspirational story of people who succeed even with the deck stacked against them. Their stories motivate me to higher levels and sometimes they prevent me from giving up altogether. What makes some of these stories even more powerful is when I know and have worked with the person who lived the story. I would like to share Mike Fish and his story with you. Our firm has been working with Mike for a few years and I have come to know him as a determined man with a passion to help others achieve what he has.</span></p> <p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>Once upon a time Mike Fish got married and he and his wife were expecting their first child. And that is where the fairy tale ends (at least for now).&nbsp; The day before his first daughter was born Mike broke both of his legs. Mike had it all. His baby daughter, a wife just out of the hospital, and a pair of full leg casts. The only thing missing was a way to earn any income.&nbsp; There was simply no way for Mike or his wife to work. Because of this Mike and his wife lost their home. Not letting this early obstacle stop him, Mike relocated his young family to Arizona to start fresh.&nbsp; </span></p> <p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>The clean slate was good and Mike s life stabilized. He was now back on track for his fairy tale life. It was a new beginning, the next chapter, but soon he decided it was time to move back home to California. Once he got back to California he found that the house he had rented over the phone was not a place for a family and the two jobs he had lined up did not work out. Mike found himself again with no place to live, no job and this time two children to support.&nbsp; Mike came to the realization, if things were going to work out for him he needed to take more control of his destiny.&nbsp;&nbsp; He was able to leverage what money he had and bought a business.&nbsp; </span></p> <p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>Mike bought an auto service company and was bringing in far more money than he had ever made in his life. Things were finally going right. He had a successful business and all the trappings that go with it, a beautiful house, cars and a wonderful life for his two daughters. However,  Life was not done testing Mike s determination yet.&nbsp;&nbsp; Unfortunately, Mike lost his business, his home and was divorced. All that Mike had left was his two daughters. His now smaller version of the family lived in an uncomfortable camper on the back of Mike s pickup truck.&nbsp; </span></p> <p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>Determined to build a life for his two girls, Mike worked to restore his finances and his credit. Life for most of us is not a fairy tale but that does not mean we don t get a happy ending. Today (about 15 years later) Mike owns six businesses and is involved with over 30 properties. Mike is living the  life he always hoped for and knew he could have. Looking back, Mike now sees that if only he had known then what he knows now he could have written his happy ending much faster.&nbsp; The final  and they lived happily ever after chapter would have been much easier to write if there was only someone who would have given him this knowledge instead of having to figure it out for himself. </span></p> <p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>Mike s plan has been to teach others what he has learned about turning their finances and credit around. Recently, he put together a specific course that shows people many keys to financial success.&nbsp; Initially, Mike explains how to become a home owner and then progress into an investor. He does this by providing a rent to own home for his students to live in. As the students go through the program, they get their financial house in order and become qualified to get a mortgage and buy the home they have been in. Mike then encourages the new homeowners to  pay it forward by buying homes for the next group of students to rent to own from them. This is where they become investors. </span></p> <p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>In today s economy Mike s win/win strategy is vital and due to the lower price of real estate, this is easier than ever to achieve. Later this summer, Mike will be heading out on a 48 state ride to spread the message about his program.
