Thursday Night Calls: |

My office has a large window looking out on to the lobby of the office building, most of my staff has windows looking outside (it is good to be the boss?). Recently they “remodeled” the lobby by installing a large flat screen television with cable news going around the clock. Whenever I turn to the right I catch myself staring at this large TV. Almost every time I look I see in big red letters across the bottom FORECLOSURES or ECONOMIC DOWN TURN and some politician pointing his or her finger around. Well I have got used to it now and for the most part I have been able to ignore it, although I know it is probably burning in my subconscious. It is not just the television though, everywhere we look these days we are bombarded with the housing crisis, foreclosures and double dip recession messages. We hear about it shopping, at church, watching sports, at the office, our kids come home from school talking about it. Even when I get my hair cut I get a heavy dose of how bad things are. Even still I decided awhile back to keep ignoring all the negativity in an effort to stay positive because a negative attitude at this point certainly would not help anything. The final straw for me came yesterday. At lunch time I headed to one of my regular lunch spots, a Lebanese hole in the wall restaurant. The food is always good and the owner and his wife (the only employees) are amongst the nicest people I know. I pulled up in front of the building, the lights were off and there was a notice on the door basically saying they had been evicted. It is hard to describe the sorrow I felt thinking about what these hardworking good people will do now. The sadness was definitely more than I would have expected for the circumstances. Maybe it was just the release of all that was building up deep in my subconscious. I got back to my office still a little shaken as I walked through the lobby when I glanced at the TV to see yet another politician rambling on about the foreclosure crisis. I allowed myself to realize the only thing I know for sure about this upcoming election is that none of the politicians have a clue about what to do and that waiting for the election to change things is a horrible waste of time. If we want this economy to grow we need to take action now and fix it ourselves. But how do we fix it, I thought as I walked back to my office. Back at my computer I noticed an e-mail I had received from my friend Jeff Adams the subject was “Cash in on the Foreclosure Crisis”. Timing is everything! I he had sent me similar e-mails but with the tax deadline approaching I ignored them. This time I opened the e-mail to find that Jeff was giving out a report on investing in foreclosures. This was no surprise Jeff knows more about foreclosures than most anyone else I have meet. I considered the timing of all of this along with my new commitment to taking action and downloaded his report. I suggest you do the same. At least check out what he has to say and see if it makes sense for you. Download the report >> Yes this is an affiliate link but Jeff really does know his stuff and his report is worth checking out. And it is a thousand times better than waiting for someone else to fix things.
